In Mehreen Jabbar’s hit ARY Digital drama Doctor Bahu, starring Kubra Khan and Shuja Asad, viewers have watched Sania face endless hurdles as a married woman, constantly dealing with her inlaws and husband, leaving her unable to catch a break. Yet, audiences reserved their deepest frustration for her mother, Zainab (Marina Khan), widely calling out Zainab’s toxic behavior toxic, regressive, and unsupportive behavior.
From the beginning, Zainab constantly pressured Sania to bow down to her in-laws and abandon her career. However, as the slow-paced show started new storylines, a powerful scene went viral online, finally revealing the real reason behind her toxic behavior.
Zainab confessed her own tragic backstory: years ago, her husband, in-laws, and even the phupho ruthlessly oppressed her dreams, forcing her to leave her job.
