Finally, the Original Sound Track (OST) of the highly sought-after Pakistani drama Pehli Si Muhabbat has just been dropped, and calling it pure magic would just be an understatement, for, all its constituents are in perfect synchronization.
The ultimate Rockstar of Pakistan, Ali Zafar, sits in a chair at the picturesque Hiran Minar, picks a pen, and starts writing as he sings the surreal song. Composed by the talented Goher Mumtaz, and penned by Asad Shah, the OST of Pehli Si Muhabbat (PSM) is not merely a song or a music video, but it is a journey that will take you directly to the tale of lovebirds, Aslam and Rakshee, head over heels in love with each other.
From the neighbors trying to stone Rakshee and Aslam saving her, to the silent promises they make, sitting on the balcony, the OST of PSM is as magical as it gets. Aslam gets a pack of bangles for his sweetheart, and she also does not shy to wear them everywhere she goes. Aslam chases Rakshee, just to have a brief glance at her. The cute antics by these lovebirds will certainly make you fall in love with everything about PSM.
However, love is not always fun and games, it comes with a plethora of responsibilities, and at times, difficulties; testing patience, relations, and even heart. Likewise, Aslam and Rakshee both endure suffocation at the hands of their family members, and the society at large, so much so that after getting hit by the brother and father respectively, they lay neglected, drowned in agony, suffering, and helplessness.
Ali Zafar stops writing, puts the pen down, and closes the book of Pehli Si Muhabbat as the song comes to an endearing end. Helmed by renowned director Anjum Shahzad and written by Faiza Iftikhar, PSM features superstars like Sheheryar Munawar, Maya Ali, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin (HSY), Shabbir Jan, Rabia Butt, Nausheen Shah, and Uzma Hasan in pivotal roles.
